Setting up a fundraiser isn't complicated!
Become a Creator GoRevival Member. You do this by either upgrading your current account (you can do this here) or if you do not already have an account you can sign up for one here! You do not need to be a paid member to back a fundraiser, but you do need to be one in order to start one.
Make sure you have all the pieces in front of you to start the process. We have a whole article about what you will/may need - so read that if you have any questions. A good list would be: Project Name, a few branding pieces, a video, a Vimeo Account, a well thought out plan for funding and maybe a reward!
Navigate to the fundraisers page and click on the button "Start a Fundraiser" or click here!
Enter your fundraiser details! Try and set yourself apart! Be careful to check the different privacy levels, if you are wanting the audience to be more private make sure to change the drop down menus to the level of privacy you are desiring. Click "Create" when finished. Quick Note: The description here is not a long overview or project details, rather it is a one to two line thumbnail sized description for people browsing projects.
Your project is now created, but you still need to add in the remaining details. The most important pieces will be your overview, your video, your rewards - any details that you DO have! The more specific and excited you can get people about your project, the more likely they will be to back you!
Connect your fundraiser to Stripe. Stripe is the service that GoRevival uses in order to connect the funds safely and securely from your backers account into your account! This is how you will actually receive funding. Until you are set up through Stripe, your project will be unable to be funded and will still show as "Project in Draft." Once this is connected and approved, your project will be LIVE!
Continue to post and update your backers and potential backers! Any photos, videos, encouraging words, or information that you can provide to the people following the project will help legitimize and substantiate your project! Remember, these people are giving you their time and their money, it is your responsibility to make sure that they feel well informed about your progress and breakthroughs. Updates also allow people to be able to pray for specific needs and give thanks to Jesus when pieces are met! Let's celebrate together!
